Hello Flower Friends!
A lifelong love of flowers and the need to heal my grieving heart led to POSIES at Highland Glenn Ranch.
Permaculture principles and high-intensity production techniques are utilized to get the most bloom in our micro-scale flower gardens.
Chemicals are never used anywhere on our ranch, nor are synthetic fertilizers. We use compost and comfrey teas, cover crops, and composted manure from our holistically-raised livestock.
We adore flowers! Being old-fashioned heirlooms and pollinator-friendly top the list of important traits in the varieties we grow, as well as ease and hardiness in our cold/hot short growing season.
Krystal is the Flower Visionary and Bloom Curator. She does most of the garden tending - planting, weeding, watering, deadheading, harvesting, and flower arranging. She also does all of the flower photography, marketing (social media and in person), floral design, writing for the blog, etc. all while working around the limitations of a neurological disease.
Tom is the ever-vital support crew! He does most of the heavy work, is the driver (truck and tractor), fills in when Krystal isn’t feeling well, and supports her floral visions.
We are delighted to make locally grown fresh flowers available to our local community and friends in Republic/Ferry County!
